Amanda Webb2024-09-02We took our 1995 Camaro to Laurenti for a diagnosis. He told us we needed a new engine, we were told it would be $6000. We asked that he check the transmission he said it was fine, as we did have it replaced 2 years earlier. We decided to get the new engine and we paid the $6000. A month or more later we were informed the vehicle was ready, he told my husband it would be another $1000 due to some performance part/various parts he said it needed. We paid the $1000. We were told that we needed to drive it for 500 miles and come back for an oil change. We took it back for the oil change within the 500 miles and told him it was still leaking oil. He told us to drive another 500 miles. The vehicle's check engine continued to come on and the vehicle continued to leak oil. The vehicle was taken back to Laurenti Automotive numerous times for the SAME issue. Every time he claimed it was fixed but yet we continued to have the SAME issue. He then told us our transmission was bad but yet he previously stated the transmission was okay. (Please note the transmission was replaced 2 years prior). My husband went back there several more times with our issues, concerns as well as questions to address this in which Phil would provide an excuse each time. One instance my husband went up there to address this matter and he called my husband crazy in front of patrons. Completely unprofessional. The car is no longer drive able. Laurenti Automotive is unwilling to own up to THEIR OWN FAULTS. They are unprofessional, untrustworthy, manipulative and, they refuse to answer questions or offer a resolution to the problems they caused. They continue to take honest hard-working people's money without completing work, thus causing an inconvenience, financial stress, emotional stress, and headaches for the consumer.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

Brian Bauman2024-04-14I have waited a long time before leaving this review, hoping I would find one part of the car that was done right. The 2 photos do not show the rest of the damage, I will upload the rest soon. Plain and simple Phil Laurenti is a scammer. He was very helpful, and knowledgeable all the way up until my engine was in his shop. I was originally quoted 600 to assemble the engine fresh from the machine shop. (Didnt know that was too good to be true) He assembled it, claimed it was broken in properly and all was well. It wouldn't start the first time I picked it up. The second and third time, the "lifters failed" leaving me on the side of the highway until I paid to have it towed back. The final time I picked it up, it was low on coolant, and wouldn't even start with brake cleaner. I was young and dumb, and left with it anyway. I never made it home. The cam walked, wiping out all the lifters and bearings, trashed the crank, and the new pistons. When I contacted him, I was left high and dry with the words, "man the machine shop screwed you." Then after I put another motor in it recently, I realized he installed my GAS tank with out any hose clamps on the lines. I realized that when it was pouring all over the back of my car.
